Sharyn Stanley

Sharyn Stanley has been a wonderful friend and a tremendous asset to Personal Ponies in Louisiana and Texas for many years!   She has traveled with me on multiple pony transports to and from Mobile, Alabama and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  During one haul we broke down in Baton Rouge!  Thankfully we were at a Race Track Truck Stop.  We raised the hood of my truck and immediately five men appeared offering to help!  Another time,  coming home in the wee hours,   we thought I ran over a dead body on Interstate 10!  Turned out to be a huge Texas size possum!  On Labor Day weekend a few years ago,  Sharyn and I drove to east Georgia to pick up Waulkmill MacKinnon and Waulkmill Hector MacDougal.   After driving fifteen hours, laughing and talking all the way, we  finally arrived at the Georgia farm where the stallions were being housed.  We were not given very good directions unfortunately and wound up driving up and down the highway in front of the Georgia farm for almost two hours.   It was so  dark we couldn't see anything on either side of the highway!  The fourth time I called the individual ,whose farm we were looking for,  I asked her to send someone to meet us at the little church where Sharyn and I had parked.  The individual agreed to send her barn manager.  Sharyn and I thought we were saved at long last!   I asked the farm owner to describe the vehicle the barn manager would be driving, for safety purposes.  Her response was,  "He'll be the one with the lights on!!"  Boy have we had some times together!!  Thank you Sharyn!  You are greatly appreciated!
